 IPD

Located in the middle of Port Dickson, a settlement or a town called as Insight Port Dickson or better known as IPD will be built which it act as our main or core development for Pulau Harapan project. Inside IPD got 3 main area which is known as   

 - IPD Kampung Nelayan
 - Malay Traditional Kingdom or Settlement (based on Melaka empire during its reign in year 1400- 1600)

Kampung Nelayan

Kampung Nelayan settlement been built above the seashore where its plan based on Sandakan’s Kampung Nelayan structure. IPD Kampung Nelayan main idea is where the technology used is being refer to fishermen village during year 1400-1600 where the boat and all the equipment are mainly in traditional form. Apart of that, Kampung Nelayan offers tourist to experience the fishermen life for a day along with the local fishermen guidance. Next, in order to make the place continuously been visited by people, a fish market will be opened where people can directly purchase raw fish from the fishermen without any assistance from middlemen.

Malay Traditional Kingdom

Malay Traditional Kingdom been built based on Melaka buildings structure during the year of 1400-1600 where its building mainly consist of istana lama, rumah kampung, pasar lama, telaga and it transportation are  horses, elephants in the main road where sampan been used in sungai buatan. Apart of that, this settlement will not using any electricity as the power or lighting source instead it will using pelita, obor2 and much more. Next, this settlement will be filled with actor and actress that played the role as the citizen of this kingdom and its role likely being referred to Malaka citizenship rank and social status to make this settlement being alive. Among the role consist of Sultan, Bendahara, Temenggung, Laksamana, Syahbandar, Hulubalang and much more where it can give full vision, feeling, ideas and impression to the tourist to experience the Melaka era. Tourist will be given promotion where they can chose what role they want to play and became for a day, week or more. Other than that, there will be dress code need to be followed by the tourist where they can rent the attire or purchased it. In order to make this settlement more alive, every day, there will be a traditional show or performance consisted of any traditional dance , wayang kulit, act that this asean region got.

Underwater Museum

The location of the Underwater Museum will be located at Kampung Baharu area. You will have to take the Jetty to go to the Underwater Museum.

MARKETING STRATEGIES AND PROMOTION

• There are some promotion will be done to attract tourist from inside and outside Malaysia. For the main attraction, we will promote Port Dickson by giving them:
• ·         Half price for any visitor who come during the weekdays on all activities that have in Port Dickson. Therefore, the visitor can experience lots of games and activities such as hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving at lower price.
• ·         We also do some promotion by advertise Port Dickson on television, radio, billboards to attract foreign tourists to go to Port Dickson. Other than using the media, we also will use travel agencies to promote the tourist from other country to visit Port Dickson while they are visiting Malaysia.
• ·         We also will hire a few Malaysian artist that are recognizable in international as the ambassador of Port Dickson to attract people from abroad to come to Malaysia and visit Port Dickson. For example Siti Nurrhaliza, Yuna and Mizz Nina.
• ·         The government give Bantuan Pelancongan 1 Malaysia to the citizen to visit Port Dickson, and it can be use only on the weekdays.
• ·         The tourist will see the traditional performance from our cultural background as a welcome performance.
• ·         Create affordable hotel. It helps the visitors to stay longer at Port Dickson without using lots of cost.
• ·         Provide different package on weekdays and weekends

ROLES OF STATE GOVERNMENT

• ·         Before any development is undertaken, we will cooperate with the government in the operation to clear the sea water and the areas near the beach.
• ·         The state government will also promote Port Dickson through media to help the tourist agencies in promoting Port Dickson to visitors.
• ·         The state government also responsible to improve the capacity of main attraction in Port Dickson by establishing new conservation and preservation training institutes to monitor the condition and cleanliness of the sea area.
• ·         The government give Bantuan Pelancongan 1 Malaysia to the citizen to visit Port Dickson, and it can be use only on the weekdays.
